The new&#13;<br \/>\nEV12AQ600-FMC-EVM development kit will be an invaluable tool for those&#13;<br \/>\nimplementing mixed-signal subsystems. Intended for prototyping work relating to&#13;<br \/>\navionics, military, space, telecommunications, industrial and high energy&#13;<br \/>\nphysics applications, this kit may be used for evaluating the operation of the&#13;<br \/>\ncompany&#8217;s EV12AQ600 and EV12AQ605 12-bit quad-channel ADCs. It means that&#13;<br \/>\nengineers can quickly construct functioning prototypes and check that the&#13;<br \/>\nexpected operational parameters can be achieved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/159474\/AQ600.jpg#image-159474\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Each EV12AQ600-FMC-EVM board features either an EV12AQ600 or&#13;<br \/>\nan EV12AQ605 device, along with four single-ended signal inputs and a FMC&#13;<br \/>\nconnector for interfacing with an appropriate programmable logic device. In&#13;<br \/>\naddition, a high-speed internal clock (supporting 6.4GHz operation), a&#13;<br \/>\n12V-rated power supply unit and an ESIstream serial interface have also been&#13;<br \/>\nincorporated, plus provision for the connection of an external clock and a temperature&#13;<br \/>\nmonitor.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The new development kit adds a further dimension to the&#13;<br \/>\nexisting portfolio of hardware based on the EV12AQ60x series. This also&#13;<br \/>\nincludes the previously introduced demo kit and the multi ADC synchronisation&#13;<br \/>\nkit, both of which have built-in FPGAs. By the EV12AQ600-FMC-EVM allowing&#13;<br \/>\nengineers to add their own relevant FPGA, consistent with what will be&#13;<br \/>\nspecified in their actual system, it is possible for them to begin creating the&#13;<br \/>\nnecessary code at the prototyping stage. This means that they don&#8217;t have to&#13;<br \/>\nstart again from scratch after the prototyping work has been completed. The kit&#13;<br \/>\nis compatible with a wide variety of FPGA plug-in boards from different&#13;<br \/>\nvendors. In particular with the alpha data evaluation board for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alpha-data.com\/product\/ada-sdev-kit2\/\">XQRKU060<\/a>\u00a0along&#13;<br \/>\nwith an example code for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esistream.com\/ip-package\">ESIstream&#13;<br \/>\nimplementation<\/a>\u00a0dedicated to this board. By utilizing the ESIstream&#13;<br \/>\ninterface, there is the possibility for multiple kits to be synchronized&#13;<br \/>\ntogether to assist with the development of more complex arrangements, such as&#13;<br \/>\nphased-array antennas and suchlike.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The cross-point switch integrated into the EV12AQ60x series&#13;<br \/>\nis a unique element. Through this, the cores of each EV12AQ600 and EV12AQ605&#13;<br \/>\nADC can be used to sample independently of one another or interleaved together.&#13;<br \/>\nThis results in a 1.6GSps sampling rate when in 4-channel mode, a 3.2GSps rate&#13;<br \/>\nin 2-channel mode, or a 6.4GSps rate across a single channel. The bit rate and&#13;<br \/>\nthe input analog bandwidth can also be adjusted as required.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The boards are now available for order.
