We see this trend continuing and driving positive&#13;<br \/>\nmomentum as companies build a more flexible, healthy workforce and invest in&#13;<br \/>\ndeveloping existing employee potential to drive innovation and performance.&#8221;<span class=\"eop\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>Companies&#13;<br \/>\nplan for return to the office, but not everyone and not every day<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">In Singapore, 75% of surveyed organisations&#13;<br \/>\nhave made decisions on return-to-office timeline but only 25% of the companies&#13;<br \/>\nhave a return date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">However, companies do not expect everyone to&#13;<br \/>\nreturn to the office. Forty-nine percent of surveyed organisations expect fewer&#13;<br \/>\nthan 75% of office workers to return onsite once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.&#13;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">Additionally, flexible or hybrid working&#13;<br \/>\noptions are on the rise, with 33% of companies expecting returning workers to&#13;<br \/>\nspend only two to three days per week in the office, and another 17% of&#13;<br \/>\ncompanies opting to give employees a choice in terms of how much time they&#13;<br \/>\nspend in the office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><b>Supporting vaccine adoption through&#13;<br \/>\nincentives<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"eop\">As workers head back onsite, companies are taking a&#13;<br \/>\nproactive and supportive approach to vaccine adoption; however, they are largely&#13;<br \/>\nstopping short of mandates. Only 5% of surveyed organisations in Singapore currently&#13;<br \/>\nplan to make COVID-19 vaccines mandatory for employees where allowed by law,&#13;<br \/>\nwith another 9% of organisations actively considering this approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"eop\">Meanwhile, 34% of organisations in Singapore are offering&#13;<br \/>\nincentives to employees who receive COVID-19 vaccines, most often in the form&#13;<br \/>\nof paid time-off to receive and recover from injections, and 46% of companies&#13;<br \/>\nare actively educating employees on the benefits of getting vaccinated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><b style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Future-of-work strategies&#13;<br \/>\nand inclusion and diversity efforts are tightly linked<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">Focused on the future, almost three in four&#13;<br \/>\nsurveyed companies (70%) in Singapore have one or more teams or taskforces&#13;<br \/>\ndefining, managing and implementing the future of work. In addition, 80% of&#13;<br \/>\norganisations say they now have a clear and consistent <\/span><span class=\"eop\">definition for what the future of work&#13;<br \/>\nmeans for their business or expect to have a definition in the next six months.<\/span><span class=\"eop\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">The three most prevalent issues shaping&#13;<br \/>\nfuture-of-work definitions in Singapore are addressing talent availability&#13;<br \/>\nconcerns, rethinking company cultures and digitalisation, cited by 93%, 86% and&#13;<br \/>\n80% of companies, respectively.<\/span><span class=\"normaltextrun\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">Looking more closely at inclusion and&#13;<br \/>\ndiversity efforts, 44% of surveyed companies in Singapore state HR teams are&#13;<br \/>\nmost responsible for leading programmes in this area. Additionally, 86% of&#13;<br \/>\nfirms<\/span><span class=\"normaltextrun\"> have created or are planning to create inclusion and diversity metrics&#13;<br \/>\nor goals to track progress, with diversity encompassing diversity of thought as&#13;<br \/>\nwell as employee demographics.<\/span><span class=\"normaltextrun\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><b>Efforts to rethink location-based&#13;<br \/>\ncompensation continue<\/b><\/span><span class=\"eop\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"eop\">With remote work on the&#13;<br \/>\nrise, 69% of surveyed organisations in Singapore have adjusted, or are&#13;<br \/>\nconsidering adjusting, geographic pay differentials as a result of the pandemic.&#13;<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"eop\">Among companies actively adjusting&#13;<br \/>\npay based on shifting employee locations, 87% are re-examining pay rates using fresh&#13;<br \/>\nmarket data and 39% are adding more granularity to the geographic zones they&#13;<br \/>\nconsider. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"eop\">However, making adjustments of this&#13;<br \/>\nnature isn&#8217;t without challenges.
