Featuring complimentary resources and online learning&#13;<br \/>\ntools, the India COVID-19 Healthcare Hub offers the latest evidence-based information on the novel coronavirus, with materials on the prevention&#13;<br \/>\nand management of COVID-19 to help limit the spread of&#13;<br \/>\nmisinformation.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Recent&#13;<br \/>\nresearch has shown that 67.2% of misinformation in&#13;<br \/>\nIndia involves health-related topics, such as falsehoods on the COVID-19&#13;<br \/>\nvaccine, other forms of medical treatments, medical institutions and healthcare&#13;<br \/>\nfacilities<sup>1<\/sup>. The same study found that online media was responsible&#13;<br \/>\nfor higher volumes of inaccurate news (94.4%) compared to mainstream media (5.6%),&#13;<br \/>\nwith false claims being distributed mainly on social media platforms. As India&#13;<br \/>\ncontinues to grapple with COVID-19 cases, it is imperative to address the&#13;<br \/>\nthreat of misinformation and its impact on the public health response. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>To help support an overwhelmed healthcare&#13;<br \/>\nsystem and combat the spread of misinformation, Elsevier&#8217;s India COVID-19&#13;<br \/>\nHealthcare Hub contains the latest fact-based information on COVID-19, including&#13;<br \/>\napproved treatments and guidelines, along with other useful tools to help&#13;<br \/>\ndoctors, nurses and healthcare workers provide patient care.
