After a<br \/>\nsuccessful launch of myDHLi, DHL has expanded the global availability of the<br \/>\nplatform from eight to 62 countries. In addition, online bookings and sales<br \/>\nrose by +56% (yoy Q1\/2020 to Q1\/2021). <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/149437\/myDHL.jpg#image-149437\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For us, myDHLi<br \/>\ntranslates digitalization into customer-centricity. That&#8217;s why we put an<br \/>\nenormous amount of work in the roll-out. Customers can easily book shipments<br \/>\nthrough the platform that follows modern design principles while having full<br \/>\ncontrol over the quotes with 360-degree visibility. By the end of 2020 we had<br \/>\n1,000 customers on the platform. Now, just four months later, we have reached a<br \/>\nnew high with 3,000 customers spread across 62 countries using myDHLi as of<br \/>\ntoday,&#8221; says Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. &#8220;In light of<br \/>\nthis successful launch to market, we will continue to expand the platform by<br \/>\nadding more languages over time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nexpansion comes along with improvements to existing functionalities, for<br \/>\nexample, the integration of a &#8220;save and<br \/>\nedit&#8221; option and new services such as myDHLi Reports to increase<br \/>\nshipment transparency. In addition, for the first time, the platform is now<br \/>\navailable for road freight customers, with the roll-out starting in Turkey. To address<br \/>\nthe success of these innovations, there will be an annual myDHLi Digital Summit,<br \/>\nwith the first event launched at the DHL Innovation Center in Troisdorf. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With a &#8220;customer-first&#8221;<br \/>\napproach, the Quote + Book functionality offers improved usability based on user<br \/>\nbehaviour analysis and modern design principles. Customers can save at any<br \/>\npoint and resume later during offer validity. This means that, should key<br \/>\ndetails not yet be available at the beginning of the booking process, it is<br \/>\neasy to pick back up at a later point to complete. As well as improving<br \/>\nusability, the platform offers with myDHLi Reports a new feature that provides full<br \/>\nvisibility of past and current shipment data for further detailed analysis. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a<br \/>\nleader in the industry, our customers look to us not only for superior<br \/>\nforwarding solutions, but equally expect an overall exceptional shipping<br \/>\nexperience. With myDHLi, we have elevated the customer experience by providing<br \/>\ncomplete visibility and automating processes, thus taking the guesswork and<br \/>\nunnecessary manual steps out of their workflow. I am delighted that the<br \/>\nfeedback from our customers in Asia Pacific has been encouraging, as we<br \/>\ncontinue to improve the platform to meet their needs,&#8221; said Kelvin Leung, CEO,<br \/>\nDHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All improvements<br \/>\nto the platform follow defined guiding principles for the further development<br \/>\nof myDHLi. This includes 360-degree visibility of shipments<br \/>\nfrom start-to-finish, no matter which stage the shipment is at, a multi-channel<br \/>\napproach, so that all information is available combined in one place, regardless<br \/>\nof which channel a customer uses, and a signaling action process, so that<br \/>\ncustomers can always see where to focus their attention. What&#8217;s more, built-in popular social media features like Follow<br \/>\n+ Share simplify communications along the supply chain by enabling customers to<br \/>\nexchange information with their own clients, colleagues, and suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>myDHLi was<br \/>\nsuccessfully launched a year ago, setting a new benchmark in an industry much<br \/>\nrooted in analog processes. The platform is characterised by a modular<br \/>\nstructure, allowing subscribers to conveniently personalise their portal. Customers<br \/>\ncan choose whether they only use the Quote + Book functionality to compare<br \/>\navailable options and directly book one of the logistics services. They can also<br \/>\naccess shipment tracking, document management or myDHLi Reports and myDHLi Analytics,<br \/>\nwhich with the latest update now also provides insights into transit times and cost<br \/>\nper unit. By adding road freight shipments, myDHLi can satisfy even more<br \/>\ncustomers in the future, making it the one-stop platform for all DHL Global<br \/>\nForwarding, Freight customers. In addition, DHL&#8217;s sustainability efforts are<br \/>\nintegral to the platform. Since January 2021, DHL Global Forwarding is reducing the carbon emissions of all<br \/>\nless-than-container load (LCL) ocean freight shipments with sustainable marine<br \/>\nbiofuels &#8211; at no additional cost for the customer. For all other transport<br \/>\nmodes an offsetting option or neutralisation of CO2 emissions via biofuels can<br \/>\nbe selected if preferred.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Digitalisation<br \/>\nis one of the strategic pillars at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, and to<br \/>\nfurther drive developments in this area for the logistics industry, the myDHLi<br \/>\nDigital Summit was established and will now take place annually.
