However, more than half of them (55%) say&#13;<br \/>\nthey need <\/span>external help to assess the skills gaps of&#13;<br \/>\ntheir employees, alluding that more help is needed by companies to carry out&#13;<br \/>\neffective skills mapping and learning, and development strategies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/148596\/A5-ESR-PressRelease-MayIssue-2.jpg#image-148596\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>These are some of the key findings in the&#13;<br \/>\nrecent NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB)&#8217;s Employer Skills Survey report. The&#13;<br \/>\nsurvey, which was conducted in February 2021 with business leaders across&#13;<br \/>\nSingapore, aimed to uncover the most in-demand skillsets a year post-pandemic.&#13;<br \/>\nThe findings include the top skills by industry clusters: Built Environment,&#13;<br \/>\nEssential Domestic Services, Lifestyle, Manufacturing and Professional&#13;<br \/>\nServices, and Trade and Connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">In&#13;<br \/>\naddition, when asked if getting their employees&#8217; capabilities assessed by an&#13;<br \/>\nexternal consultant would yield a more accurate and actionable result compared&#13;<br \/>\nto it being done internally, 52% of the respondents agreed or strongly agreed,&#13;<br \/>\nwhile 30% were neutral, 14% disagreed and only 6% strongly disagreed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">Commenting&#13;<br \/>\non the findings, NTUC LHUB&#8217;s Director of Institute of Business Excellence and Healthcare&#13;<br \/>\nAcademy, Jenaline Low, says, &#8220;With the evolving market demands and diversity&#13;<br \/>\nacross different sectors, learning can no longer be delivered through a &#8216;cookie&#13;<br \/>\ncutter&#8217; approach. We have observed that as much as companies are investing time&#13;<br \/>\nand resources into training and upskilling their workforces, many of them still&#13;<br \/>\nrequire help in their skills competency mapping and training needs analysis.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"normaltextrun\">&#8220;At&#13;<br \/>\nNTUC LHUB, we offer companies advisory services to support for their specific&#13;<br \/>\nlearning needs. Working hand-in-hand with companies, we help them to be better&#13;<br \/>\npoised to capture new business opportunities through workforce redesign for job&#13;<br \/>\nexpansion and enlargement.
