\nwith Accenture to survey small and mid-sized businesses in nine markets around
\nthe world, including Australia. Through\u00a0a survey of 1,350
\nrespondents across diverse industries, the
\nresults revealed\u00a0four mega-trends that impact\u00a0businesses pursuing digital transformation.
\nThese are:
\nnavigating digital customer demands, harnessing the power of data, supporting a
\ntransformed workforce and playing in the global marketplace.<\/p>\n

\nthe new normal, many small and mid-sized companies
\nhave pivoted their businesses digitally,” said Mike Hooton, Head of Small
\nCommercial and Middle Market Division for Chubb Insurance Australia Limited. “Embracing
\ndigital transformation can help companies survive and thrive, but it also comes
\nwith significant risk. From product liability to increased cyber security
\nthreats, Australian business owners need to review their risk
\nmitigation plans to ensure they have the necessary protection in place as they
\nseize digital opportunities.”<\/p>\n

\ndigital business priorities and associated risks among the four trends\u00a0include:<\/p>\n\n
\ndigital customer demands: approximately half of the respondents are focusing on
\nseamless on-demand delivery of products;<\/li>\n
\nthe power of data: adopting AI technology in processes is the top priority for
\nAustralian small to mid-sized businesses;<\/li>\n
\na transformed workforce: 77% of businesses are focused on providing flexible,
\nremote work solutions; and<\/li>\n
\nin the global market: 41% are prioritising offering products or services
\ninternationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
