Comprising up to 12 dual-threaded PowerArchitecture<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>&#13;<br \/>\ncores (24 virtual cores) and attaining frequencies of 1.8GHz, these devices&#13;<br \/>\ndeliver elevated levels of performance while taking up only minimal board&#13;<br \/>\nspace. They feature an extensive range of I\/O options \u2013 including 10Gbit&#13;<br \/>\nEthernet, 1Gbit Ethernet, PCIe, USB, SATA, RapidIO, etc. Thanks to the data&#13;<br \/>\npath acceleration logic embedded into each T4240, packet classification and&#13;<br \/>\nprocessing efficiencies can be boosted significantly. Operational temperatures&#13;<br \/>\nspanning from -55\u00b0C to 125\u00b0C are supported.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>In&#13;<br \/>\naddition to the characterisation, screening and qualification of these devices&#13;<br \/>\nfor high-reliability environments (to check they have the necessary robustness,&#13;<br \/>\nlongevity and performance attributes), Teledyne e2v is also supplying the T4240&#13;<br \/>\nwith a Sn-Pb ball option. This will prove a major advantage in application&#13;<br \/>\nareas that are not subject to RoHS regulations. Thanks to a testing environment&#13;<br \/>\nthat is identical to original manufacturer NXP, with the same test equipment,&#13;<br \/>\ntest quality and coverage, the integrity of these reliability-augmented&#13;<br \/>\nprocessors is fully assured in both Sn-Pb and lead-free options.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Power&#13;<br \/>\nconsumption is another key aspect that needs to be dealt with, in particular&#13;<br \/>\nfor compute-intensive and resource-constrained applications. Here Teledyne e2v&#13;<br \/>\nengineers will enter into in-depth consultation with the customer concerning&#13;<br \/>\ntheir specific application.
