HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach<\/a> – \u00a09 March 2021 – From 27 to 29 March 2021, four secondary school\u00a0 students will challenge themselves to complete the longest trail in Hong Kong –\u00a0 the 100km MacLehose trail. Their aim is to raise essential funds for The Child\u00a0 Development Centre (CDC), a non-profit organisation that supports children with\u00a0 special educational needs. We envision that every child should succeed in their unique learning journey. The hike they will complete is not only daunting in length, but also\u00a0 challenging due to the elevation of 5,053 metres. The students chose the CDC as\u00a0 the sole beneficiary as Jack’s younger sister previously attended an early\u00a0 intervention programme there. “This\u00a0 organisation (the CDC) is very close to Jack’s heart, as he has a younger\u00a0 sister with Down’s Syndrome, and understands the difficulties that families\u00a0 face when raising and educating special needs children to reach their full\u00a0 potential, which is something that every child deserves.<\/i><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Money\u00a0 donated to the CDC will go towards programme and service expenses, allowing\u00a0 them to aid even more families, and provide even better care with their top\u00a0 notch teaching specialists and therapists.
