As a brand who aims to&#13;<br \/>\nconnect with the youths via their product innovation, the brand is also not one&#13;<br \/>\nto shy away from burning social challenges &#8212; in this case, empowering women to&#13;<br \/>\ntake a stance in some of the most challenging environment. This time it is&#13;<br \/>\nencouraging some of those women to share their stories.\u00a0 The #SHEPOWER means lot of more meaningful to&#13;<br \/>\nInfinix than many other brands as the company seeks not only to foster the&#13;<br \/>\ntechnological and innovative development of some of the less-privileged&#13;<br \/>\nregions, it seeks to advocate social changes by promoting gender equality, as&#13;<br \/>\nmuch as we don&#8217;t want to admit, some parts of the worlds aren&#8217;t very friendly&#13;<br \/>\nto women who want to develop a career of their own.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/129668\/shams.jpg#image-129668\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Meet Shams Talaat, a 23-year-old marketer in Infinix, Iraq. Despite being in a&#13;<br \/>\nplace that has the lowest female employment rates in the world<sup>[3]<\/sup>,&#13;<br \/>\nShams has always been a fighter when it comes to gender equality. Last year,&#13;<br \/>\nshe marched hand in hand with male and female protestors down the streets of&#13;<br \/>\ncentral Baghdad as one of the organisers of the gender equality rally which&#13;<br \/>\nmade international headlines<sup>[4]<\/sup>. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We want to feel heard, equal &#8212; and be&#13;<br \/>\nfree to represent our own voices,&#8221; said the young girl who have just&#13;<br \/>\ngraduated from Nahrain University, one of the top universities in&#13;<br \/>\nIraq. &#8220;It&#8217;s uncommon for women to work in technology company here. Being part&#13;<br \/>\nof this industry, in Infinix, in particular, means a lot to me because I am&#13;<br \/>\npart of a vision that aims to provide great technology at an unbeatable price for my&#13;<br \/>\ncountry. At the moment, I&#8217;m the only female member in my office &#8212; but I believe&#13;<br \/>\nthat things will change as we continue to promote a safe and inclusive working&#13;<br \/>\nenvironment for aspiring women who wants to take a stab at the tech industry in&#13;<br \/>\nInfinix,&#8221; continued Shams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/129689\/Amani.jpg#image-129689\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Another employee which shared her story comes from a&#13;<br \/>\ntranscontinental country where it spans the northeast corner of Africa and&#13;<br \/>\nsouthwest corner of Asia &#8212; the Arab Republic of Egypt, a place which ranked 136&#13;<br \/>\nout of 145 countries worldwide in gender equality<sup>[5]<\/sup>.&#13;<br \/>\nAmani, the Head of Human Resources Department at Infinix, Egypt, has over 10&#13;<br \/>\nyears of working experience under her belt. During her time with Infinix, Amani&#13;<br \/>\nhas been invited to attend the biggest HR conference in the middle east HRSE&#13;<br \/>\n2019 HR Summit and Expo. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In Egypt, women are under tremendous societal pressure to get&#13;<br \/>\nmarried and raise a child. Traditional Arabic culture sees us as weak and one&#13;<br \/>\nthat needs protection &#8212; even getting out of the house alone is a trouble for&#13;<br \/>\nus. That&#8217;s why I take great pride in my work and what I&#8217;ve achieved so far,&#8221;&#13;<br \/>\nshared Amani when asked about her views on common difficulties faced by female&#13;<br \/>\nemployees in their country. Despite the scrutiny, she was able to excel in her&#13;<br \/>\nperformance: &#8220;It was very&#13;<br \/>\nchallenging in the beginning because the brand was growing so fast that I&#13;<br \/>\nneeded to establish a team and expand it by three times of its original size in&#13;<br \/>\nsuch a short period.\u00a0 Regardless, we did&#13;<br \/>\nit in the end. Not only so, I also managed to finish my post graduate studies&#13;<br \/>\nin Human Resource and Law while working. It&#8217;s truly a blessing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/129696\/Jessica.jpg#image-129696\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>While both Shams and Amani have demonstrated&#13;<br \/>\ntheir resilience in face of challenging adversities, the last sharer comes from&#13;<br \/>\na place which represents a promising future for a highly progressive nation&#13;<br \/>\nthat has committed to itself to promoting greater gender equality in its once&#13;<br \/>\nmale-centric workforce &#8212; the People&#8217;s Republic of China.<sup>[6]<\/sup>&#13;<br \/>\nJessica a 25-year-old mobile structure design engineer at Infinix Shanghai is&#13;<br \/>\nturning heads with her talent in what seemed to be &#8220;a man&#8217;s job&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>With a childhood dream to be a fashion&#13;<br \/>\ndesigner, Jessica finds joy in putting her creativity and passion into every&#13;<br \/>\naspect of Infinix mobile design: &#8220;It&#8217;s a dream come true in an unexpected way.&#13;<br \/>\nI&#8217;m really glad that fashion plays a critical role in Infinix&#8217;s product creation&#13;<br \/>\n&#8212; it gives me an opportunity to see my ideas come to life in an everyday&#13;<br \/>\nproduct like smartphones.&#8221; One of her greatest achievement includes a crossover&#13;<br \/>\nproject with popular mobile game PUBG where her designs were featured heavily&#13;<br \/>\non many prime advertisement spots. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Today, there are greater acceptance for women&#13;<br \/>\nin the workforce globally. Infinix has never stopped to take challenges on,&#13;<br \/>\nwith a workforce of 42% women, it will continue to drive gender equality and&#13;<br \/>\ndiversity. It is not the ratio that counts but the culture of fostering&#13;<br \/>\ndiversity. In fact, the COVID-19 pandemic has also sped up the marathon for&#13;<br \/>\nwomen&#8217;s rights<sup>[7]<\/sup> in&#13;<br \/>\nmultiple aspects.
