Amid the shift to&#13;<br \/>\nan increasingly distributed and digital work environment, demand has grown for&#13;<br \/>\nsolutions that support corporate culture, knowledge discovery, on-the-job&#13;<br \/>\nlearning and employee wellbeing. Analysts size the nascent Employee Experience&#13;<br \/>\nPlatforms (EXP) category at $300 billion in annual spend. Today, Microsoft is announcing an&#13;<br \/>\ninitial set of modules in Viva that will provide built-in capabilities,&#13;<br \/>\nintegrations from a strong and growing ecosystem of Viva partners, and platform&#13;<br \/>\nextensibility that will enable customers to integrate their existing employee&#13;<br \/>\nexperience systems and tools with Viva to make them more accessible and&#13;<br \/>\ndiscoverable to employees:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Viva Connections<\/b>\u00a0provides&#13;<br \/>\na personalized gateway to your digital workplace where employees can access&#13;<br \/>\ninternal communications and company resources like policies and benefits and&#13;<br \/>\nparticipate in communities like employee resource groups, all from a single&#13;<br \/>\ncustomizable app in Microsoft Teams. The Connections app for Teams will be&#13;<br \/>\navailable on desktop in public preview the first half of 2021 with a mobile app&#13;<br \/>\ncoming later this year.<\/li>\n<li><b style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Viva Insights<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0gives&#13;<br \/>\nindividuals, managers and leaders personalized and actionable insights that&#13;<br \/>\nhelp everyone in an organization thrive. Personal experiences and insights,&#13;<br \/>\nvisible only to the employee, help individuals protect time for regular breaks,&#13;<br \/>\nfocused work and learning, as well as strengthen relationships with their&#13;<br \/>\ncolleagues. Managers and leaders can see trends at team and organization level,&#13;<br \/>\nas well as recommendations to better balance productivity and wellbeing. The&#13;<br \/>\ninsights are aggregated and deidentified by default to maintain personal&#13;<br \/>\nprivacy. In addition, a new dashboard allows organizations to combine employee&#13;<br \/>\nfeedback from LinkedIn&#8217;s Glint with collaboration data from Viva Insights,&#13;<br \/>\nenabling leaders to more accurately identify where teams may be struggling,&#13;<br \/>\nproactively adjust work norms, and then quantify the impact of those changes&#13;<br \/>\nover time. In addition to using data and signals from Microsoft apps, customers&#13;<br \/>\nwill also be able to incorporate data from third-party services like Zoom,&#13;<br \/>\nSlack, Workday and SAP SuccessFactors. The Viva Insights app in Teams and the&#13;<br \/>\nnew Glint and Viva Insights dashboard are now available in public preview.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Viva Learning<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0makes&#13;<br \/>\ntraining and professional development opportunities more discoverable and&#13;<br \/>\naccessible in the flow of work. It aggregates all the learning resources&#13;<br \/>\navailable to an organization in one place, including content from LinkedIn&#13;<br \/>\nLearning; Microsoft Learn; third-party providers including Skillsoft, Coursera,&#13;<br \/>\nPluralsight and edX; as well as an organization&#8217;s own content library. From&#13;<br \/>\ntraditional learning courses to microlearning content, users can discover,&#13;<br \/>\nshare, assign and track a wide variety of learning as a natural part of the&#13;<br \/>\nworkday. The Viva Learning app is now available in private preview, and&#13;<br \/>\nstarting later this year Viva Learning will offer integrations with leading&#13;<br \/>\nlearning management systems, including Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba and SAP&#13;<br \/>\nSuccessFactors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Viva Topics<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0delivers&#13;<br \/>\na knowledge discovery experience that helps people connect to information and&#13;<br \/>\nexperts across the company. Using AI to reason over a customer&#8217;s Microsoft 365&#13;<br \/>\ndata, and with the ability to integrate knowledge from a variety of third-party&#13;<br \/>\nservices such as ServiceNow and Salesforce, Viva Topics automatically surfaces&#13;<br \/>\ntopic cards within conversations and documents across Microsoft 365 and Teams.&#13;<br \/>\nClicking on a card opens a topic page with related documents, conversations,&#13;<br \/>\nvideos and people.
