Amazon&#13;<br \/>\nannounced that it is extending the waiver of professional selling account&#13;<br \/>\nsubscription fees for new and existing sellers, until 30 June 2021. This&#13;<br \/>\nsupport builds on Amazon&#8217;s current initiatives such as the online seller&#13;<br \/>\neducation series, <a href=\"https:\/\/sell.amazon.com\/learn.html#seller-university\"><span class=\"Hyperlink0\">Seller University<\/span><\/a>, and over 225 free tools and&#13;<br \/>\nservices to help sellers grow their sales in Amazon&#8217;s stores in Singapore and&#13;<br \/>\nworldwide.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">In&#13;<br \/>\naddition, Amazon is teaming up with Enterprise Singapore (ESG) to help local&#13;<br \/>\nretailers scale globally. Enterprise Singapore will support these efforts&#13;<br \/>\nthrough the Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) scheme. Support will be capped at&#13;<br \/>\nS$100,000 per new country, includes support for up to 70% of eligible costs for&#13;<br \/>\noverseas promotion, overseas business development and overseas country set-up,&#13;<br \/>\nand gives SMBs the flexibility to expand across new countries at their&#13;<br \/>\npreferred pace. Those eligible will&#13;<br \/>\nreceive the following support:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to 70% of eligible costs, capped at S$100,000&#13;<br \/>\nper company per new country* from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2023, that covers:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"white-space:pre\">\t\t<\/span>o\u00a0\u00a0 Overseas&#13;<br \/>\nPromotion (capped at S$20,000)<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"white-space:pre\">\t\t<\/span>o\u00a0\u00a0 Overseas&#13;<br \/>\nBusiness Development (capped at S$50,000)<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"white-space:pre\">\t\t<\/span>o\u00a0\u00a0 Overseas&#13;<br \/>\nSet-up (capped at S$30,000)<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each application is limited to one activity in a&#13;<br \/>\nsingle overseas country (e.g. participation in a trade fair)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">To&#13;<br \/>\nbe eligible, companies should meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business entity is registered\/incorporated in&#13;<br \/>\nSingapore<\/li>\n<li>New country criteria, i.e. target overseas&#13;<br \/>\ncountry whereby the applicant has not exceeded S$100,000 in overseas sales in&#13;<br \/>\neach of the last three preceding years<\/li>\n<li>At least 30% local shareholding<\/li>\n<li>Group Annual Sales Turnover of not more than&#13;<br \/>\nS$100 million; OR Company&#8217;s Group Employment Size of not more than 200&#13;<br \/>\nemployees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><i>*<\/i><i> <\/i><i>With&#13;<br \/>\neffect from 1 April 2020, a new country refers to a target overseas country&#13;<br \/>\nwhereby the applicant company has not exceeded S$100,000 in overseas sales in&#13;<br \/>\neach of the last three preceding years.<\/i> <i>The maximum support level is raised from 70% to 80% from 1 November 2020&#13;<br \/>\nto 30 September 2021.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">Interested&#13;<br \/>\nand eligible SMBs selling on Amazon.sg can apply for the Market Readiness&#13;<br \/>\nAssistance (MRA) scheme via Enterprise Singapore&#8217;s website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enterprisesg.gov.sg\/financial-assistance\/grants\/for-local-companies\/market-readiness-assistance-grant\"><span class=\"Hyperlink0\">here<\/span><\/a>.
