This has been most apparent in industry clusters such&#13;<br \/>\nas Essential Domestic Services (65%), Modern Services (62%), and Built Environment&#13;<br \/>\n(61%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\"><img src=\"http:\/\/release-manager.media-outreach.com\/i\/120072\/PRESS-RELEASE-NTUC-report.jpg\" width=\"500\"\/><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">These findings are part of <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntuclearninghub.com\/\" style=\"font-size: 1rem\">NTUC LearningHub<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">&#8216;s (NTUC LHUB) latest&#13;<br \/>\nNew Normal of Sector Skills Report where 367 business leaders (senior manager&#13;<br \/>\nor directors and above) and 567 full-time employees were surveyed to uncover&#13;<br \/>\nthe shift in jobs and training dynamics across the six major industries&#13;<br \/>\nclusters in Singapore and to enable our workforce to identify sectors to look&#13;<br \/>\nout for in the New Normal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Within the Essential Domestic&#13;<br \/>\nServices cluster, the top technical roles which employers are looking to hire&#13;<br \/>\nare &#8216;Early Childhood Care &amp; Education Teacher&#8217; (24%), &#8216;Early Childhood Care&#13;<br \/>\n&amp; Education Workplace Safety and Health&#8217; (18%) and &#8216;Training and Adult&#13;<br \/>\nEducation Learning Management&#8217; (18%).<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, within the Modern&#13;<br \/>\nServices cluster, roles such as &#8216;Financial Services Blockchain&#8217; (18%),&#13;<br \/>\n&#8216;Infocomm Technology Cyber Security&#8217; (14%), and &#8216;Infocomm Technology Operations&#13;<br \/>\nand Support&#8217; (14%) are the most sought after. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Lastly, as for the Built Environment&#13;<br \/>\ncluster, &#8216;Built Environment Project Management&#8217; (42%), &#8216;Security Consultancy&#8217;&#13;<br \/>\n(26%), and &#8216;Built Environment Engineering Consultancy and Design&#8217; (26%) are the&#13;<br \/>\ntop in-demand roles coveted by employers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The report also reveals that in&#13;<br \/>\ngeneral, only less than half (48%) say that their companies have employees with&#13;<br \/>\nthe right skill sets to achieve their current goals. Moreover, two thirds (66%)&#13;<br \/>\nof employers say that the shortage of right talent available to fill the roles&#13;<br \/>\nthey are looking to hire has negatively affected their businesses. This is&#13;<br \/>\nespecially the case for employers in the Manufacturing (81%), Built Environment&#13;<br \/>\n(71%) and Modern Services (65%). <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the findings, Tay&#13;<br \/>\nEe Learn, Director of NTUC LHUB&#8217;s Technical Skills Product Division says, &#8220;Although&#13;<br \/>\nsome sectors remain hard hit as a result of the effects of the pandemic, it has&#13;<br \/>\nbeen proven that there are career opportunities available as companies adapt to&#13;<br \/>\nnew ways of doing business. These findings provide invaluable insights for&#13;<br \/>\nemployees to navigate a &#8216;Never Normal&#8217; in their preparation for multiple&#13;<br \/>\ncareers in a lifetime to secure the best chance of thriving in the turbulent&#13;<br \/>\npandemic era and beyond.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To help job seekers navigate&#13;<br \/>\nthe current economy, many employers are open to hiring inexperienced talent&#13;<br \/>\nwith micro-credentials, and this has been prominent in those industries which&#13;<br \/>\nare experiencing a shortage of skilled talent.
