The event saw Shopee&#8217;s&#13;<br \/>\nleadership team share the 2021 roadmap for brands to capture the next wave of&#13;<br \/>\ngrowth in the region&#8217;s US$172 billion<sup>[2]<\/sup>&#13;<br \/>\ne-commerce market, as consumers shop and spend more online. Since launching&#13;<br \/>\nShopee Mall, orders have grown by 10 times, indicative of a growing consumer&#13;<br \/>\ndemand. Similarly, the ongoing impact of the pandemic on retail traffic has&#13;<br \/>\nalso driven more brands to expand their online businesses, with the number of&#13;<br \/>\nofficial stores on Shopee Mall doubling in the past year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img src=\"https:\/\/release.media-outreach.com\/release.php\/Images\/Thumb\/500x0\/119491\/Shopee-Brands-Summit-Key-Visual-.jpg#image-119491\" width=\"500\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>In his welcome address, <b>Chris Feng, Chief Executive Officer of Shopee said, <\/b>&#8220;Shopee Mall is&#13;<br \/>\nan integral part of our business, and we have a strong track record of helping&#13;<br \/>\nbrands to transit, grow and succeed online. Today, Shopee Mall houses more than&#13;<br \/>\n20,000 international and local brands, a four-fold increase from when we first&#13;<br \/>\nlaunched in 2017. As opportunities in Southeast Asia&#8217;s digital economy continue&#13;<br \/>\nto flourish, we are committed to strengthening our support for brands to boost&#13;<br \/>\ntheir online presence, drive sales and serve consumers better. We will also&#13;<br \/>\ncontinue to innovate our platform, services and features to meet the ever&#13;<br \/>\nchanging needs of our consumers, delivering a seamless and fun shopping&#13;<br \/>\nexperience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b><u>New&#13;<br \/>\nprogrammes to help high-performing brands scale new heights<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>At the summit,&#13;<br \/>\nShopee announced the launch of two new programmes that aim to help top&#13;<br \/>\nperforming brands maximise their online growth potential. This includes the <b>Regional Champion Brands Programme<\/b>, a&#13;<br \/>\nby-invite program comprising 16 brands who will receive priority support from&#13;<br \/>\nShopee in the areas of marketing, innovation and insights. These brands will&#13;<br \/>\nreceive exclusive access to Shopee&#8217;s campaigns and new feature launches, as&#13;<br \/>\nwell as dedicated support to further grow their business.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>The second programme&#13;<br \/>\nis the &#8216;<b>100 Million Dollar Club&#8217;<\/b>,&#13;<br \/>\nwhich challenges brands to achieve USD100 million in Gross Merchandise Value&#13;<br \/>\n(GMV) within the year. The first ten brands to unlock this milestone will be&#13;<br \/>\nrewarded with special perks, including privileged access to exclusive business&#13;<br \/>\ninsights, increased campaign exposure, media support and more. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b><u>New features and initiatives to empower brands<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>In addition to the&#13;<br \/>\ntwo new programmes, Shopee will also be rolling out a series of new initiatives&#13;<br \/>\nand improvements to help brands acquire new consumers, increase consumer&#13;<br \/>\nretention and optimise their online performance.\u00a0 <b><u\/><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><b>Increasing brand awareness&#13;<br \/>\nand reach among different consumer segments<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b><br \/><\/b>This year, Shopee will be scaling up on its mega&#13;<br \/>\nshopping events and brand collaborations to boost brands&#8217; online visibility and&#13;<br \/>\ncapture new consumers. This includes helping brands to reach new consumer&#13;<br \/>\ndemographics, such as the growing segment of affluent consumers shopping online&#13;<br \/>\nfor premium products. As such, Shopee will be scaling up its Shopee Premium&#13;<br \/>\nofferings and campaigns and expanding its assortment to include more premium&#13;<br \/>\nfashion and beauty brands. <\/p>\n<p>To help fast-moving consumer (FMCG) brands capture a growing segment of online&#13;<br \/>\ngrocery shoppers, Shopee will also be ramping up on Shopee Mart, a one-stop&#13;<br \/>\nshop that allows consumers to conveniently purchase a wide variety of groceries&#13;<br \/>\nand personal care products.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><b>Providing brands with more&#13;<br \/>\nways to connect and engage with existing consumers <\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>In addition to helping brands reach new consumer segments, Shopee&#8217;s&#13;<br \/>\nsuite of in-app engagement tools also allow brands to continuously connect and&#13;<br \/>\nengage with existing consumers. For instance, Shopee most recently upgraded its&#13;<br \/>\npopular Shopee Live feature to support co-streaming, which allows for more&#13;<br \/>\ndynamic and interactive entertainment for viewers during brands&#8217; livestreams. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Shopee&#13;<br \/>\nalso introduced the <b>Brand Membership&#13;<br \/>\nprogram<\/b> for brands to increase consumer retention by rewarding shoppers&#13;<br \/>\nwith loyalty points when they shop from brands&#8217; Official Stores on Shopee Mall.&#13;<br \/>\nThis encourages more frequent\u00a0 purchase&#13;<br \/>\nand deepens brands&#8217; understanding of their consumers&#8217; purchasing habits and references. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>Finally,&#13;<br \/>\nShopee also provides brands with an extensive range of warehouse and\u00a0 fulfilment&#13;<br \/>\nsupport, allowing them to fulfil orders quickly and reliably all year round.\u00a0  This&#13;<br \/>\ntranslates to a more seamless shopping experience for consumers and in turn,\u00a0  increased&#13;<br \/>\nconsumer satisfaction and likelihood of repurchase. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p><b>3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n<\/b><b>Optimising brands&#8217; performance with enhanced data-driven tools<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13; <\/p>\n<p>As&#13;<br \/>\nthe online space becomes increasingly competitive, Shopee is constantly&#13;<br \/>\nupgrading its data-driven tools to empower brands to track, analyse and&#13;<br \/>\noptimise their store performance.
