Cuttack,13\/1\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar \/ Dipti Ranjan Kanungo )- On 12.1.2021, Sri Surendra Kumar Ghadei, District Fisheries Officer-Cum-C.E.O., Fish Farmer Development Agency(FFDA), Mayurbhanj was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Balasore Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.1,10,000\/- (Rupees One Lakh Ten Thousand) from \u00a0complainant Sri Dhurjati Das of Bhanjpur, PS-Baripada town, Dist. Mayurbhanj in order to release subsidy amount in respect of a project of the spouse of the complainant completed earlier as well as to approve another similar project in favour of the complainant.<\/p>\n
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 12.1.2021.\u00a0Accused\u00a0Sri Surendra Kumar Ghadei, District Fisheries Officer was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Balasore Division while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.1,10,000\/- (Rupees One Lakh Ten Thousand)\u00a0from complainant Sri Das.\u00a0The bribe money was recovered from the possession of \u00a0Sri Ghadei and seized in presence of witnesses. His right hand wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him.\u00a0\u00a0The office chamber and the government quarter of Sri Ghadei at Baripada town were searched. Today i.e. on 13.1.2021, Sri Surendra Kumar Ghadei, District Fisheries Officer has been arrested and forwarded to the\u00a0Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada.\u00a0The Hon\u2019ble Court has remanded him\u00a0to jail custody till 25.1.2021.<\/p>\n
