\nGlobal Forwarding, the leading international
\nprovider of air, sea and road freight services, has announced two appointments
\nto its Asia Pacific management board, effective 1 January 2021. Niki Frank, CEO
\nof DHL Global Forwarding India, will expand his portfolio to include the entire
\nsub-region of South Asia. Yvonne Lee, Head of Strategic Projects, DHL Global
\nForwarding ASEAN and South Asia, and Head of Business Processes and
\nOrganization, DHL Global Forwarding Thailand, will assume the role of Managing
\nDirector, DHL Global Forwarding Philippines. Both will report directly to

Frank to oversee South Asia sub-region

Frank will oversee
\nthe newly created South Asia sub-regional portfolio that comprise India, Pakistan,
\nheaded by Umair Alam as Managing Director, and Bangladesh and Sri Lanka managed
\nby Fabian Rybka. <\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prior to his
\ncurrent role, Frank spent seven years leading global transformation initiatives
\nfor Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL Group) and DHL Global Forwarding, making
\nmajor contributions to its pivotal growth strategy that saw the business revive
\nits performance and regain market share.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Business in Philippines to be headed by Lee
<\/b>As Managing Director of DHL Global
\nForwarding Philippines, Lee will be responsible for leading the business on its
\ngrowth trajectory and overseeing the business’ digital transformation efforts,
\nin line with the Group’s Strategy
\n2025<\/a>, to elevate customer and employee experience as well
\nas improve operational excellence.\u00a0<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
“The Philippine
\neconomy, like many others, has taken a hit this year because of Covid-19, but
\nis expected to see a gradual
\nrebound<\/a> from 2021 onwards, even as the ASEAN
\nregion anticipates consumer spending to double
\nby 2030<\/a>. With her experience across various
\nbusiness functions, including in a strategic regional role, and her sharp
\nbusiness acumen, Yvonne is the ideal candidate to lead our business in the
\nPhilippines to capture opportunities as the market recovers and moves into its
\nnext phase of growth,” said Leung. <\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lee started her
\ncareer with DPDHL Group as a Management Trainee, before moving on to a variety
\nof roles spanning operations effectiveness, project management, performance
\nmeasurement and customer implementation. In her most recent role as Head of
\nStrategic Projects, ASEAN and South Asia, she oversaw several key change
\nmanagement and transformation projects for the freight forwarder.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
“One of my key
\npriorities is to drive an even more customer-centric approach in response to
\nthe evolving needs of local businesses, as we ramp up our digitalization
\nefforts to provide customers with a better shipping experience. Having worked
\nwith colleagues in the Philippines in my previous role, I am excited to join a
\nteam of dynamic and committed freight forwarders to tackle the unique
\nopportunities and challenges here,” said Lee.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
