Cuttack,8\/1\/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 8.1.2021, Sri Sarat Kumar Panigrahi, District Labour Officer (DLO), Nuapada at Khariar Road, Dist. Nuapada has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.40,000\/- (Rupees Forty Thousand)<\/strong> from complainant Sri Srinivas Behera of village Palsada, PS-Boden, Dist. Nuapada for labour registration in respect of 200 numbers of labourers.<\/p>\n Accordingly, a trap was laid on 8.1.2021.\u00a0Accused\u00a0Sri Sarat Kumar Panigrahi, DLO was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division in his office chamber while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.40,000\/- (Rupees Forty Thousand)<\/strong>\u00a0from complainant Sri Behera.\u00a0The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Panigrahi and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Sri Panigrahi, DLO as well as wash of his pant pocket gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him.\u00a0\u00a0His residential government quarter at Nuapada and house at native village Bishnupur, PS-Khantapada, Dist. Balasore are being searched.
