Sundargarh has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Rourkela Division for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.15,000\/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) from complainant Sk. Sahid Haq of Jharsuguda town in order to release his pending bills towards supply of dress materials to the employees of said Municipality during the year, 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accordingly, a trap was laid on 31.12.2020.\u00a0Accused\u00a0Sri Ashok Kumar Mishra, Executive Officer\u00a0 was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Rourkela Division in his office room while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.15,000\/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand)\u00a0from complainant Sk. Sahid Haq.\u00a0The bribe money has been recovered from the possession of Sri Mishra and seized in presence of witnesses. Right hand wash of Sri Mishra as well as his money purse wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him.\u00a0\u00a0His office room and government quarter at Sundargarh are being searched.
