Cuttack, and (5) office room at DDCE, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar, were simultaneously searched on 19.12.2020 by the officers of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In course of search and inventory,\u00a0Sri Ashok Kumar Mishra, Senior Assistant\u00a0was found in possession of assets worth\u00a0<strong>Rs.1,38,27,755\/- (Rupees One Crore Thirty-eight Lakhs Twenty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-five<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong>\u00a0including one triple-storied building, two numbers of double-storied\u00a0buildings including LIG house,\u00a0one single-storied building, fourteen numbers of shop rooms, four\u00a0numbers of plots, one motor cycle,\u00a0deposits\u00a0in different banks, gold and silver ornaments,\u00a0<strong>cash of over 3.5 Lakhs<\/strong>\u00a0and household articles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri\u00a0Mishra\u00a0was calculated and he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of\u00a0<strong>Rs.1,33,81,977\/- (Rupees One Crore Thirty-three Lakhs Eighty-one Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-seven).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As\u00a0Sri Ashok Kumar Mishra, Senior Assistant, Zoology Department, Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar was\u00a0found in possession of such huge disproportionate assets, which he could not account for satisfactorily, Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No.40 dt.20.12.2020 was registered against Sri\u00a0Mishra\u00a0U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(b) PC Act, 1988 as amended by Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 for detailed investigation.\u00a0In course of investigation, today i.e. on 20.12.2020, Sri\u00a0Mishra\u00a0has been arrested and forwarded to the Court\u00a0of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
