GAJAPATI ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE IN DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS CASE."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuttack,16\/12\/2020 ( Odisha Samachar \/ Dipti Ranjan Kanungo )- On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Dusmant Nayak, Assistant Teacher, Govt. Upper Primary School, S.Routapur under Gosani Block, Dist. Gajapati, his 1) 3 numbers of triple-storied buildings at Paralakhemundi, 2) 5 numbers of double-storied buildings at Paralakhemundi, 3) house at native village Jangalpadu, Dist. Gajapati 4) house of relative at Gunupur, Dist. Rayagada, and 5) office room at Govt. Upper Primary School, S.Routapur, Dist. Gajapati \u00a0were simultaneously searched on 15.12.2020 by the officers of Vigilance, Berhampur Division on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon\u2019ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In course of search and inventory, Sri Dusmant Nayak, Assistant Teacher was found in possession of assets worth <strong>Rs.4,03,29,869<\/strong><strong>\/- (Rupees Four Crores Three Lakhs Twenty-nine Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-nine)<\/strong> including three numbers of triple-storied buildings, five numbers of double-storied buildings, eight numbers of plots, deposits in different banks, investment in LIC policies, gold and silver ornaments, cash and household articles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0After search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri\u00a0Nayak was calculated and he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of\u00a0<strong>Rs.3,27,25,448\/- (Rupees Three Crores Twenty-seven Lakhs Twenty-five Thousand Four Hundred Forty-eight)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As\u00a0Sri Dusmant Nayak, Assistant Teacher, Govt. Upper Primary School, S.Routapur under Gosani Block, Dist. Gajapati was\u00a0found in possession of disproportionate assets which he could not account for satisfactorily, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. Case No.24\u00a0dt.16.12.2020 was registered against Sri\u00a0Nayak U\/s 13(2) r\/w 13(1)(b)\/12 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 for detailed investigation. In course of investigation, today i.e. on 16.12.2020, Sri\u00a0Nayak has been arrested and forwarded to the Court\u00a0of Special Judge, Vigilance,\u00a0Berhampur.
