Team India of the Visually Impaired Cricket beat England, vice-captain Md Jafar Iqbal felicitated

ELogo-BlueBhubaneswar,5/6(Odisha Samachar/Abhisek Mohanty) : Team India of the Visually Impaired Cricket beat England and won in the five matches at London.

The vice-captain of Team India of the Visually Impaired Cricket Md Jafar Iqbal was felicitated by the Cricket Association for Visually Impaired (CAVI), Odisha at Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRCH) for Handicapped, Bhubaneswar.

The felicitation was jointly given by Secretary of CAVI, Odisha Sanyas Kumar Behera and State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Odisha Dr. Minati Behera.

Md Jafar addressed the gathering expressing his wishes for formation of a blind women’s cricket team in Odisha. He requested the State Government to provide Government job on sports quota to the disabled sports persons of Odisha.

Among others, Area Director of Special Olympics Bharat, Odisha P.K. Rath, International Coach of Adventure Sports Arpita Mohapatra, Assistant Director of VRCH R.K. Sharma and General Secretary of All Odisha Physically Handicapped Welfare Association Rabi Tripathy were present on the occasion.
