Bhubaneswar, 02/12/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ) : Society for Nature, Education and Health (SNEH), a leading voluntary organization in the state, observed ‘World AIDS Day’ with a program in the Salia Sahi slum on Friday.
Students of Ekamra College and the Institute of Media Studies staged two skits on the theme of HIV/AIDS to create awareness about the dreaded disease. A quiz competition on HIV/AIDS was also organized for
the women and youth of Salia Sahi on the occasion. Prizes were distributed to the participants who gave correct answers to the questions. The quiz program was conducted by Prasant Kumar Pradhan.
The event was attended by Odia cine star Pinky Priyadarshini, local Corporator Bharati Singh, football coach Nanda Kishor Patnaik, Jayajyoti Panda of Unicef and Raghunath Mandal of IMS.
More than 250 slum dwellers attended the program which was inaugurated by Smt Subarna Ghosh, President, SNEH and chaired by Subas Panda, Advisor, SNEH.
