Bhubaneswar, 25/05/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ) : Several initiatives have been introduced to boost the MSME sector in the State. To encourage entrepreneurial spirit and promote innovation amongst youths, the State Government has provided an assistance of Rs 36 lakh to 61 youths under the youth innovation fund, said MSME Minister Prafulla Samal at a press meet on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, “The department has identified 153 branches of various banks and designated them as MSME specialized bank branches to enhance flow of credit to the MSMEs in the State. For organised development of the MSMEs in clusters, a total of 54 clusters of micro and small enterprises have been identified in the State. Out of these clusters, 11 have already been assisted for development of common facilities under the MSE-CDP (04) and SFRUTI scheme (07).”
