Bhubaneswar, 21/02/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : On the eve of budget session of Odisha Assembly, the members of Samajwadi Party Odisha State Committee met Finance Minister Pradip Amat at his residence and submitted a memorandum demanding loan waiver for the small & marginal farmers and share croppers in drought affected areas.
The seven-member delegation led by party’s State Unit President Rabi Behera also demanded a bonus of Rs.300 in a quintal of paddy, loan to fish farmers, poultry farmers & milk farmers at 1% interest per annum like the Women SHGs and other farmers, to hike widow pension, oldage and disability pension to Rs. 1,000 per month and 90% job reservation for unemployed youth of Odisha in various industries coming under Make in Odisha programme.
Among others who also met the minister on behalf of the party include Sudarshan Pradhan, Bijoy Behera, youth leader Sambit Das, Pradip Mishra, Pradosh Jena and Women Leader Nirupama Das.
The Finance Minister has assured the party workers to take up the matter in the cabinet tomorrow for necessary steps in the coming Budget
