Bhubaneswar , 28/12 ( Odisha Samachar ) – One Mamtaj Hussain, Ex-Revenue Inspector (R.I) Pradhan sahi in Jatni Tahasil of Khordha District was convicted in Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S.Case No.30/15 u/s 7 /13 (1) P.C.Act and sentenced to undergo for an imprisonment of six months for the offence under 7 PC Act and RI for 1 year and pay of fine Rs.1000/- and Rs. 3000/- for respective offences. In default to under RI for two months and six months respectively.
As per the information revealed by Sri Basant Kumar Panigrahi S.P.Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, Sri Santosh Kumar Mishra of Lingaraj Vihar, Bhubaneswar had alleged before the Vigilance Division against the above RI for demand of bribe of Rs.500/- to receive tax in favour of the recorded land of Sri Mishra and his relatives in mouza Sundarpada on which Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S.Case No. 13/15 was registered against the Revenue Inspector Masmtaz Hussain. He was caught red handed by the Vigilance sleuth while taking bribe of Rs.500/- from Sri Mishra. The accused was arrested and charge sheet was submitted against him after closure of investigation for which he was facing trial in the Learned Court of Spl. Judge, Bhubaneswar and sentenced pronounced today. The case was conducted by Sri B.B.Sahoo, Spl. P.P., Bhubaneswar on behalf of prosecution.
