Bhubaneswar, 08/10/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : The private bus operators have threatened to launch a state-wide indefinite strike from November 1, if the government fails to heed their demands.
“A memorandum comprising our five-point charter of demands, including toll fee hike, was submitted to the officials of transport department on October 3. But, nothing has been done so far”, said All Odisha
Private Bus Owners’ Association secretary Debendra Sahu.
On the other hand, the truck owners have also called a 36-hour nationwide strike from October 9 to press for inclusion of diesel in the ambit of new indirect tax.
