Bhubaneswar, 17/10 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ) : Gramotsava, the flagship event of RMAX, is a rural marketing fair which provides a diversified platform to participating organizations to promote their products and services in the rural market. This event promotes the festivity and the spirit of the countryside. RMAX intends to connect the rural people with the mainstream masses through Gramotsava as it provides an excellent platform for different institutions to showcase their products in front of rural market.
Gramotsava was launched today in Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar. The event started with the faculty members lighting the inaugural lamp followed by a dance recital by the students of Rural Management. Father Arockia Das unveiled the Gramotsava 2014 poster and declared it officially open. Post the inauguration ceremony; students performed a drama on the life of Bindeshwar Pathak who was the propagator of the ‘Sulabh Shauchalay’ in India. This drama was a small tribute to commemorate his contribution to the lives of many. RMAX then launched the mascot for this event ‘Bonny Bhaina’, an Olive Ridley Turtle, an endangered animal that lays its eggs only in the coastal regions of Odisha- which depicts the institution’s philosophy of working towards nurturing the culture of this state and its holistic development.
Esteemed faculty members, D.V. Ramana, Dr. S. Peppin and Kajri Misra expressed their thoughts on the initiatives taken by RMAX team to organize this event and how it felicitates the service for rural India. RMAX also launched its annual magazine ‘Dhwani’ on this occasion. The event came to an end with the students performing the Gramotsava Anthem filling the audience with the feeling of the onset of a great event.
