ECoR ORGANISED RTI SEMINAR ON THE OCCASION OF RAJBHASHA WEEK.

ELogo BlueBhubaneswar, 23/9 ( Odisha Samachar ) –  A seminar on Right to Information (RTI)   was organised at East Coast Railway headquarters yesterday on the occasion of closing ceremony of Rajbhasha Week. Gracing the occasion, General Manager, East Coast Railway, Shri Rajiv Vishnoi said that, Indian Railways, primarily being a service organisation, has the ultimate aim of providing quality service to its valued customers. Shri Vishnoi advised officials present not to delay in providing information under RTI Act and cautioned them about offences involved in not giving information or any neglect in parting with information, as and where asked for.
Shri Vishnoi also advised Railway Officers to promote Rajbhasha in their day to day official works as this has been adopted as official language of the Union of India.Rly 1
Various programmes and competitions in Rajbhasha like Essay Competition, Noting & Drafting, Rajbhasha Workshop, Key Board Training were organised during the Rajbhasha Week Celebrations to reiterate the importance of Official language during the week.
Shri Prem Chandra, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari & Chief Mechanical Engineer also spoke on the importance of spreading the official language in day to day work. Shri S. K. Mohanty, Sr. Dy. General Manager cum Chief Vigilance Officer said that, the seminar was organized as a part of continued efforts by the East Coast Railway to create awareness amongst all Railway officials for a transparent & better management of Public Service.Rly 2
All Principal Heads of the Departments of ECoR and large number of Staff were present on the occasion. Merit Certificates and awards were also distributed to the meritorious Employees who participated in different events in Rajbhasha. An Exhibition on use of Rajbhasha in day-to-day official work was also organised to mark this occasion.
