Bhubaneswar, 10/06/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ): Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) is all set to celebrate ‘Rajo Mahotsav’ at ten Panthanivases across the State from June 13 to 16.
The visitors can enjoy the celebrations at Panthanivases in
Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack, Chandipur, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Barkul, Gopalpur, Konark and Paradip, where Rajo Doli (swing) will be the major attraction.
As a part of the extravaganza, special traditional delicacies like poda peetha, manda peetha, arisha, kakara, chakuli & ghuguni, muga bundi, khira gaja, dahi vada, chhena poda and Rajo pana (beetle) will be served to the local residents and tourists. Besides, special arrangements have also been made to serve traditional cakes of western Odisha like khuda manda, kadamba and mooga papchi at Panthavinvas in Sambalpur.
The motto behind the celebration is to popularize the age-old festival and promote the rich culture of Odisha, informed OTDC marketing manager Alok Mishra.
