Non-government, unaided teachers threaten stir over nine-point demands

Bhubaneswar, 21/10/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : Members of Nikhila Odisha Non-Government and Unaided Teachers’ Association on Saturday threatened to launch an agitation, if the state government fails to fulfill their nine-point charter of demands.

The teachers belonging to 662 Category and newly established colleges (+2 and +3) have demanded that the Grant-In-Aid order should be extended up to 2017 and continuity post be implemented.

“Other demands raised by the association include application of 1977 yardstick in workload calculation, implementation of 1994 yardstick in workload calculation, consideration of junior clerk and attendant post on the basis of their workload”, association president Santosh Narayan informed.
