Bhubaneswar , 29/7 ( Odisha Samachar/Abhisek Mohanty) : Pratap Kishor Swain, presently state secretary of All India Allahabad Officers Association has been unanimously elected as the new State President of All India Bank Officers Confederation of Odisha State. Niranjan Jogania, the outgoing president of All India Bank Officers Confederation has been given a warm send off in the meeting. Sri Sambit Mishra, the state secretary of All India Bank Officers Confederation highlighted on the problems being faced by the banking industry in the country and solutions thereof. The committee expressed its deep concern over the tardy process adopted by IBA in resolving early pay settlement for bank employees which has become much overdue since November 2012. The leaders of various banks affiliated to All India Bank Officers Confederation also expressed their problems as well as progresses made in their individual banks. The pressure tactics and harassment meted out by the management of certain banks over the officers has been condemned by the committee.
The new incumbent, Mr. Swain called for more solidarity and intense organizational activities to counter such incidents of highhandedness of the management, and expressed his gratitude to the members for reposing confidence in him. He assured the house to combat all threats against the officers of banking community with greater zeal and vigour.
