Bhubaneswar , 21/8 ( Odisha Samachar/Abhisek Mohanty ) : The two days National Symposium on Manufacturing & Best Practices to improve the Business Environment jointly organized by the Industries Department, Government of Odisha and the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Government of India will be held on August 22 & 23 at Bhubaneswar.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be the Chief Guest of the Symposium and it will be inaugurated by the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Nirmala Sitharaman. Other dignitaries to grace the inaugural ceremony are Industries Minister, Chief Secretary, Chief Secretary, DIPP, Government of India, Director General, CII & Secretary, Industries, Government of Odisha.
Secretaries of Industries Department & MDs of Industrial Development Corporations of all the States shall be attending this Symposium. The following identified best practices in different State issues shall be discussed and deliberated in details during the symposium.
a) Improving business environment for industries.
b) Manufacturing and downstream industries.
c) Development of infrastructure.
d) Improving the manufacturing competitiveness in India
e) E-governance and labour law related compliances
f) The land & building related approvals and interventions mother States.
Experts, Industries Leaders and CEOs, functionaries of Confederation of Indian Industries, different State Secretaries and CMD of Industrial Development Corporations of all the States of India will attend and speak/ participate in the two days symposium.
For this, during July, Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra had met Union Minister, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Secretary for
Industrial Policy & Promotion, New Delhi Amitav Kant, to discuss about the industrial projects in Odisha. They had accepted the invitation of Mr. Mishra to jointly organize a National level symposium at Bhubaneswar on manufacturing and best practices.
