( Intellectuals and politicians brainstorm to find a roadmap for a developed Odisha )
New Delhi , 26/11 ( Odisha Samachar ) : New Delhi based Odia intellectual forum ”The Intellects” has organized a brain storming panel discussion among intellectuals, political leaders and eminent bureaucrats to launch the event ‘MO SWOPNARA ODISHA: Odisha – My Vision’. A debate competition was organized on this occasion among the students of JNU, DU and other educational institutions in Delhi where the young minds had shared their vision for Odisha. Debendra Nath Rout, Chairman, The Intellects informed that a roadmap from the discussions at various brain-storming session planned ahead will be prepared as a vision document and the document will be submitted to NITI AAYOG, PMO AND CMO. This was the launch of a series of debate and essay competitions to be held over next couple of months across Odisha among the school and college students. The young minds will have to present their vision for a developed state and the best ideas will find its place in a vision document.
“Odisha has missed the train of opportunity for many reasons in the past but the present political class will have to take some hard decisions for a prosperous state said the intellectuals and politicians gathered at a brainstorming session for a prosperous Odisha.” Prominent among panelists are senior politician and founder of Aama Odisha Party Soumyaranjan Patnaik, Nishikanta Mohapatra; Aam Admi Party’s National Spokes person, BJP spokesperson Pratap Sarangi, Dr Bhagban Prakash; advisor to the Election Commission of India, Former Delhi University professor Dr. Manoranjan Mohanty and Sh Kishore Dwibedi; senior Journalist. The brain-storming session was moderated by senior advocate and social activist Biraja Mahapatra. All the politicians beyond the party line agreed on the necessity of employment for the youth, education, health and a comprehensive development for all while discussing a roadmap for the development of the state. Addressing the valedictory session seasoned Gandhian politician and Rajya Sabha MP AV Swamy said this is the beginning of a movement to ignite and mobilize the young minds for the development of Odisha. Other eminent guest of the valedictory session are Dr Subhash Khuntia, secretary school and literacy, Govt of India, Sh Prasanna Das; Additional secretary ministry of environment, forest and climate change, Dr Jayadev Sarangi, Member (personal) Delhi Jal Board, Sh Bikash Mishra; GM, Punjab National Bank and Chartard Accountant Ravi Pani.
