The Khandagiri Mela which started from February 6 is marked by religious zeal with entertainment in the form of theatre shows being conducted by reputed groups since long. The National Kharavela Festival which was organized by K.N. Memorial Foundation, Bhubaneswar in association with the Department of Tourism, Culture and Panchayati Raj, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Song & Drama Division Kolkata, Indian Council of Cultural Relations (Cuttack) and Travel, Hotel & Restaurants Association of Odisha concluded here on Sunday. But the Mela will continue till February15, 2014.
The vendors are receiving good response as a number of people visit the stalls that have been erected by the vendors to sale hand made, ready made and food items in the fair.
The Bhubaneswar Auto Mahasangh, like every year has opened a Public Information Centre. “We have kept child line and help line, where counseling of orphan children, widow women will be done. They will be sent to the Ruchika Social Service Organization. The Information Centre will also include a photo exhibition on the traffic rules and signals, in order sensitize people which would help in minimizing road accidents”, said General Secretary of Bhubaneswar Auto Mahasangh, Padman Kumar Samal.
