Bhubaneswar , 24/6 ( Odisha Samachar/Abhisek Mohanty) : Jyostna Routray Memorial Charitable Trust, since its day of incorporation is engaged in conducting different activities for the upliftment of Odia language, qualitative journalism, education, employment, medical aids to the poor people of Odisha and many more. As a part of its developmental activities the Trust is going to organize the Miss Odisha Contest, which will place an emphasis on excellence, achievement and personal growth for young women participants. The main event and competitions will be mainly organized in Bhubaneswar. The preliminary selection will be held in major cities of the state from July 1, 2014.
Keeping this in view, a website www.missodisha.in has been unveiled by Member of Parliament Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patasani, MLA Bijay Kumar Mohanty, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Disability Commissioner Kasturi Mohapatra, Odia actress Archita Sahu and Trust’s Chairman Jimut Mangaraj at Hotel Swosti Premium here today. Participants can download their forms and register their names online by the help of this website.
Jyostna Routray Memorial Charitable Trust was formed in the name of late Jyostna Routray, who was an eminent journalist and writer. The selection for the contest will be over before the death anniversary of late Jyostna Routray on July 26.
“The Trust is going to open hospitals in each district head quarter of Odisha, where the poor people will get free medical assistance, medicines and support to avail expensive medical tests, operations and treatment in renowned hospitals in the state as well as in the country”, informed organizers.
