Bhubaneswar, 12/9 ( Odisha Samachar ) – The Working Committee Meeting of Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch was held under the Chairmanship of Shri Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, I&PR., Odisha, at Red Cross Bhavan. Dr. Chakradhar Panda, Honorary Secretary extended a warm welcome to the members present on the occasion and subsequently placed the budget and Annual Action plan before the committee. He emphasized on the new initiatives to be taken by Red Cross Odisha to build the capacity of Red Cross Volunteers. Besides, he made a power point presentation on IRCS-OSB Annual Activities 2013-14.
In this meeting Shri Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, I&PR. Govt. of Odisha & Chairman, Working Committee, IRCS-OSB expressed that Red Cross Blood Bank plays vital role in blood management i.e. Collection, storage and circulation to the needy persons.
Smt. Arti Ahuja, Secretary to Govt. ,Health & Family Welfare Department., Shri S.B. Mishra, I.A.S (Retd.), Shri G. Nandi, Deputy Secretary to Govt., Finance Department, Fr. Paul Fernades, Vice–Chancellor & Director, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, Shri B.K. Sahoo, Chartered Accountant and Secretary, SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, Dr. B.K. Panda, Addl. Director, Directorate of Health Services, Odisha, Dr. Deepika Mohanty, Chairperson, Central Red Cross Blood Bank, Cuttack participated in the said meeting as members and offered valuable suggestions.
