India test fires quick-reaction surface-to-air missile at Chandipur

India test fires quick-reaction surface-to-air missile at Chandipur

Balasore/Bhubaneswar, 03/07/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : The quick-reaction surface-to-air missile has been successfully test-fired from about from a truck-mounted canister launcher from launch complex-3 at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Balasore district on Monday.

The missile has a strike range of 25 km to 35 km. It is capable of engaging multiple targets.

Designed to be a quick reaction missile, it involves an all-weather weapon system capable of tracking and firing, sources said.
