HOUSE SEARCH OF FOREST RANGE OFFICER BY VIGILANCE ON DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS ANGLE:

 OS Logo Pink EnglishCuttack,30/8/2016 ( Odisha Samachar )-  Today i.e. on 30.08.2016 on the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets by Sri Chandra Sekhar Garnayak, Forest Range Officer, Biramitrapur Forest Range under DFO, Territorial, Rourkela, Dist. Sundargarh his (1)  Residential Govt. Qr. at Biramitrapur (2) Residential double storied building at P.K. Das Colony, Panposh, Rourkela, (3) Residential Native House at Samia Pali, (Subarnapali) under Pallahada Block, Dist. Angul, (4) Stall along with residential quarter adjacent to the stall and one single storied building given on rent to the Bank at Pallahada Chouk, Dist. Angul (5) office chamber at Biramitrapur district Sundargarh were simultaneously searched  by the Officers of Smbalpur Vigilance Division on the strength of search warrant issued by Court.      F 1

                    During search, so far following movable and immovable assets are detected in possession of Sri Chandra Sekhar Garnaik in his name and in the name of his family members.

Immovable properties consist of a double storied building at P K Das Colony Panposh Rourkela, Stall located at Pallahada Chowk District Angul with a total approximate value of Rs.33,56,449/-. Movable properties like house hold articles VOI. K Wagan Polo Car, One Honda Activa, one TVS Scooty, all total value of Rs. 10,32,920/-. Hard cash of Rs. 40,200/- recovered from his house during search. Beside this a sum of Rs.5,71,058/- found deposited in different banks and Investment Bajaj Allianz insurance.

 Total immovable & movable asset of Sri Chandra Sekhar Garnaik, Forest Range Officer, Biramitrapur Forest Range under DFO, Territorial, Rourkela, Dist. Sundargarh calculated so far comes to Rs.50,00,627/-.

One Still Almirah belongs to Garnaik has been sealed at Pallahada. It is suspected that some documents likely to be recovered from his almirah.

Sri Chandra Sekhar Garnai entered into the Govt. service as Forester, under D.F.O (Territorial), Banai on 02.03.1992, and got promoted to the rank of Deputy Ranger in the year 2015 and subsequently to that of Forest Range Officer on 31.03.2016. He was posted as such at Biramitrapur Forest Range under DFO (Territorial), Rourkela, Dist.Sundargarh where he is continuing till date.
