Bhubaneswar , 15 / 9 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ): “Hindi Diwas “was celebrated at the ground floor of New Integrated Office Complex at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar on September 14 like every year. Ashok Kumar Pandey, Rtd. Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bhubaneswar was the chief guest of the programme.
The programme was inaugurated by the welcoming of the chief guest and Airport Director with flower-bouquet and lighting of the lamp. On this occassion Airport Director announced the opening of Hindi Pakhawada (Fortnight) from 14th to 30th 2015. During this period various competitions and programmes like Noting-Drafting, English-Hindi translation, Hindi dictation, Debate competition, Hindi poems/songs/jokes have been scheduled among the employees of AAI to spread the awareness in the usage of Hindi and also to encourage all the employees .All the distinguished guests has expressed their views on effective implementation of usage of Hindi as Official Language.
The chief guest Ashok Kumar Pandey, a Hindi scholar and chief editor of Sanmarg newspaper encouraged the use of Hindi and its unique place amongst all the Indian languages. He quoted some nice poems that gave us zeal to work in Hindi more and more.
Airport Director Sharad Kumar emphasised on the increase of the usage of Hindi in official work and inspired us to take a vow to do our 100% office work in Hindi from 2nd October onwards.
Everyone participated in it with full enthusiasm and vigour. The programme ended with the distribution of sweet-packets.
