Bhubaneswar, 10/11/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : Governor Dr SC Jamir conferred the prestigious Kalinga Safety Award (performance year 2016) on 20 companies for their best practices and competitive excellence in the field of safety and health at the annual flagship event “8th Odisha Safety Conclave-2017” organized by Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS) in association with Institute of Public Enterprises, Hyderabad

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Dr Jamir said, “We cannot ignore safety in our personal life. In our ever busier lives, we must always make time for safety. Our aim should go beyond compliance, to create a culture in which all from individual to workforce to workforce own safety. And not only comply with safety procedures, but to challenge every person to improve them.”
The event was attended by South African High Commissioner to India France K Morule, State Labour and Employee State Insurance Principal Secretary Anu Garg and IQEMS Managing Director Debabrata Panigrahi among others.
