Bhubaneswar, 17/07/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )-: The flood situation in Kalahandi and Rayagada districts is improving. Free kitchens have been opened for the affected people in those areas as well as in Cuttack city, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday.
Stating the air dropping of relief materials is being done in Rayagada district, the CM informed that a total of 260 pump sets are being used to dewatering in Cuttack city.
In view of the flood situation and heavy rains, the Rayagada district administration has announced closure of all government and private schools for three days at Kalyansinghpur block.
Schools have also remained shut in Cuttack due to heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours.
