Former Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak, aides detained for distributing money among voters

Sundargarh/Bhubaneswar, 20/02/2017 ( Odisha OS-Logo-Pink-English-300x179Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : Former Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak and his six associates were detained by locals of Jarada Panchayat of Sundargarh district on Monday while distributing money among voters.

On being informed, police reached the spot and rescued Nayak and his supporters from the clutches of the irate locals. The police seized 52 umbrellas, cash amount of Rs 8, 200, blankets and two liquor bottles from Nayak’s Bolero vehicle.

Earlier on February 14, a complaint was lodged against Nayak at Jharipani Police Station of the district for distributing cash among voters asking them to cast vote in his favour .
