Bhubaneswar, 11/11/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ) : Members of Odisha Government Contractual Employees’ Association on Saturday announced that they will organize a mass convention in city to press for their longstanding demands.
Addressing a press conference here, association chairman Pravat Mohanty said, “In a developed state like Odisha, the government has been spending crores of rupees for proper implementation of various public welfare schemes. But, it is regretful that the government has failed to regularize the government employees’ jobs and providing equal salary. Therefore, the association has decided to hold a mass convention and protest meeting in the city to put pressure on the government to fulfill our legitimate demands at the earliest.”
Later, a memorandum will be submitted to the Chief Minister on the same day seeking his intervention to resolve our issues, Mohanty added.
