Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar , 21/12/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : The conjoined twins of Nayagarh district Ganga- Jamuna passed away at Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack on Wednesday night.
The twins breathed their last at around 1 am in the ICU of the hospital. The bodies were later handed over to their family members.
According to Sishu Bhawan Superintendent Saroj Satpathy, the babies’ heart had some congenital problems. They suffered breathing problems and died after their condition deteriorated.
The twins were born to Kishore and Sumitra Dutta of Sarankul at a private nursing home in the district on December 1. They were joined at chest and stomach. The babies were admitted to Sishu Bhawan the next day for better treatment.
The state government had announced all possible assistance for their treatment.
