“We need a child labour-free and abuse-free city. Every children must go to school”, said Arupriya Moharana, while interacting with child club members at Jayadev Bhawan here today during an exhibition styled ‘Child Friendly Safe City organised by state-level voluntary organisation Centre for Child and Women Development (CCWD) with the help of National foundation for India (NFI).
Speaking on the occasion, secretary of CCWD Sadasiv Swain said, “The city is growing rapidly but some woes of children are matters of concern. Lack of quality education, health facilities, special children’s park and traffic management during school hours. For the promotion of child friendly safe city early child marriage, child
abuse and child labour should be abolished.”
On the occasion, Child Centric Plan and Child Friendly Safe City Demo were inaugurated by freedom fighter Bhabani Charan Pattanayak. Among others noted child novelist Sarat kumar Nayak and HOD (MA in JMC) BJB (Auto) College Dr.Nalini Kumar Patra attended as guests.
In the exhibition, children painted their views through drawing.
