Bhubaneswar , 11/1 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty): Bank of Baroda (BOB) opened its 100th branch at Ganganagar, Bhubaneswar in Odisha Region. This is a small step taken by the new branch which is 13th Branch of Khurda district towards serving the people in the state by implementing various developmental programmes such as SME, retails and Agricultural loan base in all over the state.
The branch was inaugurated by Mr. P.K. Jena, Regional Director of Reserve Bank of India, Mr. G.B Panda, Deputy General Manager; Regional Head of Odisha Region was also present in this occasion.
Mr. Panda declared that the Branch will cater to the banking needs and requirement of the people of Ganganagar and its adjoining villages. He also informed that the Bank has ambitious plans to open more than 20 branches at unbanked area by the end of this current financial year 2013-14. BOB has its presence in all the 30 districts of Odisha and with ATM network of more than 90 throughout the state along with the new branch at Ganganagar. The Bank has bagged the best bank award for the year 2012 Panda said appealing the people to take benefit of Bank’s wide range of retail products and ongoing Retail Loan campaign which carries the lowest rate of interest i.e. 10.25 percent for housing loan and 10.50 percent for car loan.
With this vast network of branches and ATMs very soon bank is going to open a second Regional Office in Sambalpur. There are various Customized products offered by the bank with unique nature & tailored made for customers from various walks of life. The bank plans to enhance its reach to the remotest areas with a view to provide banking Services to the under privileged and poorest of the poor under financial inclusion plan of Government of India.
