Bhubaneswar , 15/9 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ) – ASTHA School of Management, a prominent management institute in the state, observed CSR day-2014 on September 14, 2014 to mark its contribution to the society. A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the institute at its campus at Atala in joint collaboration with the Rotary Club, Bhubaneswar Excellency. The camp was inaugurated by Sri Bijaya Kumar Patra, Chairman, ASTHA School of Management. A team from Red Cross Society conducted the camp, where 90 participants including the employees of the institute and members from the local community volunteered to donate blood. On this occasion, Er. Bankim Mohanty, Secretary, ASTHA School of Management addressed the younger generation to pledge and come forward voluntarily to donate blood. Prof (Dr) Sharmila Subramanian, Principal, ASTHA School of Management opined that blood donation is a noble way of spreading the message of universal brotherhood. The second half of the day was marked by a CSR activity at Ashraya, an orphanage home at Dumduma. Interesting games and fun-filled activities were organized by the students of ASTHA School of Management for the adored kids of Ashraya in a joyous environment. Biographies of eminent personalities were distributed among the inmates of Ashraya to enhance their habit of book reading.
