Puri/Bhubaneswar, 08/06/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty )- : About 45 platoons of police force have been deployed at the pilgrim city Puri to ensure hassle-free darshan to the devotees during Deba Snana Purnima of Lord Jagannath and his siblings on Friday.
Over 200 senior police officers have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident and maintain law and order during the grand festival. This year, touching of deities by the devotees has been banned by the temple administration. For sensitizing the devotees regarding this, posters have been put up at major locations of the town in Odia, English, Hindi and Bengali languages. Besides, adequate numbers of CCTV cameras have also been installed near Snana Mandap to monitor the activities of devotees and servitors, said Shree Jagannath Temple chief administrator Pradeep Jena.
