25 arrested over clash between two groups in Cuttack

Cuttack/Bhubaneswar, 05/10/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhisek Mohanty ) : As many as 25 persons were arrested in connection with a clash between two groups in Cuttack which left several injured on Thursday.

The clash broke out between the residents of Sarvodayanagar and Sweeper colonies here over parking issue.  Several people, including police personnel were injured in stone and bottle pelting by the
agitators.

Badambadi inspector-in-charge (IIC) Biranchi Narayan Pati and Purighat (IIC) Tapas Chandra Pradhan were also injured in the violent clash.

On being informed, Police Commissioner YB Khurania and Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh rushed to the spot and broutht the situation under
control.

A platoon of police force has been deployed at the spot to prevent any untoward incident.
