14 wagons of goods train derail in Jagatsinghpur, none hurt

Jagatsinghpur/Bhubaneswar, 24/11/2017 ( Odisha Samachar / Swarna Prava Nayak )  : In an unfortunate incident, as many as 14 wagons of a goods train derailed near Banabihari Gualipur PH Railway Station in Jagatsinghpur district on Friday.

Train service was completely disrupted for hours on the
Cuttack-Paradip route after the incident took place at around 6 am when the train was on its way to Jharkhand carrying coal from Paradip port.

Though no casualty was reported in the derailment, both the up-line and down-line of Cuttack-Paradip route was blocked. Several other trains on the route remained stranded for several hours.

Meanwhile, East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Umesh Singh
ordered Khurda Road Division officials to inquire into the derailment
and submit a report.
